If you must cancel an appointment, please notify us as soon as possible, so we may offer the time slot to another patient. No-shows or cancellations fewer than 24 hours before appointments will be billed for the appointment. Extenuating circumstances will be taken into consideration.

Urgent Appointments

We make every effort to see established patients with acute problems on the same day you call. Please emphasize to our receptionist that you wish to be seen that day.

Saturday Morning Appointments

Saturday Morning Appointments are only available at our Ballston Office. Click Here to learn more.

Walk-In Service from 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM

Our offices are open every weekday morning from 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM for the following services:

  • Blood draws for tests that require fasting
  • EKG’s and other testing
  • Urine collection
  • Vaccinations and other injections

There must be a medical practitioner order for any of these services. Please call our office prior to coming in, so we may confirm your order and make sure all information is ready.

Call-In Time with Providers

Offered 8:00 – 8:45 AM Monday through Friday at both office locations. During this time, providers make themselves available to take calls to discuss laboratory or X-Ray results, acute illnesses for which you may wish to be seen that day, or other issues that can be briefly discussed.

Due to the large number of patient calls that come in every morning, we ask that these calls be limited to 3 minutes, to leave time for other patients. Please understand that some issues cannot be adequately addressed by phone, so your provider may ask you to make an appointment to be seen. Calls that are long and/or require a prescription or other action that replaces an office visit may be charged as a Telephone Visit.

Please do not use Call-In Time for prescription refills, referral renewals, or to get routine lab results from your provider. These routine matters can be handled by our front office staff during our regular business hours from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

This is a very popular service, and Call-In Times on some days can be extremely busy (especially Mondays and around holidays). We do our best to keep waiting times to a minimum, but we cannot control the number of calls that come in each day. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any extended hold times you might experience.

Due to the complexities of insurance and Medicare billing, we utilize a billing office that is separate from our medical offices. If you have questions concerning your bill at the time of your visit, please discuss them with our receptionist after your appointment is concluded. If you have questions concerning payment of your bill after you leave our office, please contact our billing office at 800-276-4701.

We believe our office fees are reasonable and our patients find their out-of-pocket expenses to be minimal. For those reasons, we expect all accounts to be paid promptly. If you are unable to pay your bill in a timely manner, please contact the billing office so we may work out a mutually acceptable payment plan. We make every effort to work with our established patients so they may continue to receive care through our office regardless of their ability to pay. However, if payment arrangements are not made, unpaid accounts will be turned over to a collection agency.

All payments and correspondence regarding billing should be mailed to:

After Hours and Emergency Calls

Your medical care through GIMG does not stop when our offices close. You may leave urgent or routine messages on either office line, (703) 525-8863 or (703) 573-9800, but be sure to follow the voicemail instructions closely!

If you are having a life threatening medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. If you are seen in an emergency room, please have the physicians there contact our office.

Urgent issues: If you have a medical issue needing immediate attention, you may leave a message on our emergency line that our physician on-call will receive and return within approximately 15 minutes. Many urgent after hours problems can be handled by phone, and can help you determine whether you need to get immediate medical help.

Please be respectful of our physicians taking call from home, and only call with urgent needs.

All other issues: All routine matters should be handled during regular office hours; however, you may leave a message on the office line after hours. We will call you back the next business day!
